8 Viral Fitness Challenges You Have To Try

Viral videos have always held a coveted spot on the internet. With the rise of Tik Tok came a whole new batch of viral videos and viral challenges. These challenges kept us entertained and you may have even attempted the challenges between zoom calls. Viral fitness challenges were especially fun to watch and try. They showed us that exercise can be fun and sometimes silly. In this article, we’ll show you our 8 favourite fitness challenges from Tik Tok.

Touch Your Toes Challenge

Having trouble touching your toes? This challenge is for you! Start by bending down to try and touch your toes. Stand back up and spin 3 times. Try to bend down and touch your toes again. Were you able to touch your toes the second time?

Shovel Challenge

There were a few challenges circulating Tik Tok that pitted men against women. This shovel challenge claims to be a challenge that only men are capable of, but we’d like to see our female clients try to prove them wrong 😉

Take a gardening shovel and hold it at the very end of the handle. Now try to lift the shovel up off the ground. Can you do it?

Thorbar challenge

To take the shovel challenge to the next level, this Thor Bar Challenge requires the strength of the gods. With a barbell laying flat on the floor, grab one end of the bar. Without using your knee or anything to leverage the bar up, try to lift the opposite end of the bar of the ground. Give it a Viking war cry to try and summon a little extra strength.

Plank Challenge

This challenge is easily one of the most viral fitness challenges on Tik Tok with over 4.2 million views on this video alone. If you’ve ever done a commando push-up then you’ll be familiar with the first few moves. Stick to the beat and you’ll be on your way to completing this challenge.

There are a few modified versions of the challenge where you do not have to jump over your partner who is rolling under you. You can continue to do the commando push-ups throughout the song, or do mountain climbers to the beat. We’ll leave that up to you.

Reverse Pistol Squat Challenge

This particular Tik Toker is always creating crazy, borderline acrobatic fitness challenges. This particular challenge is quick but technically challenging. Kneel down with your back knee right behind your front foot’s heel. Grab the back foot with the hand on that side and try to stand up. 

We recommend trying this out a few times with something to support you so you don’t risk falling and hurting yourself.

Solo Cup Pushup Challenge

This challenge is a test of strength and shoulder mobility and stability. You can work yourself up to the number of cups he has before going for the full solo cup pushup challenge. 

Start by setting up 4-10 solo cups open side down in a semi-circle in front of you. Get into the push-up position. Go down then when you push-up hold yourself in a straight arm plank and stack one cup. Repeat this until all the cups are stacked,

Bottle Challenge

Think you have great balance? This challenge will put that to the test. Start by resting a water bottle on the side of one foot. Keeping that foot in the air, extend your leg into a side kick while keeping the bottle upright and on your foot. Once fully extended,  you’ll pop the bottle up off of your foot and try to kick it before it hits the ground. 

Lean Wit’ It Challenge

Another beat-based workout challenge for you. Stick to the beat and try to hit every move in this challenge for a quick workout.
