Trainer Vania’s Secrets to Staying Fit on Vacation

Our trainer, Vania, is an avid traveler and fitness enthusiast, but she understands the struggle of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while on vacation. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement and indulgence, leaving our fitness goals behind. Throughout her many trips she’s discovered effective strategies to stay fit while away from home. Vania has shared five valuable tips that have helped her stay on track with her fitness routine while enjoying memorable vacations.

Walk as much as possible

Make a conscious effort to explore the city on foot. Every step not only contributes to your daily step goal but also allows you to soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Walking became an integral part of Vania’s routine, and the bonus was burning extra calories without even realizing it.

 

Be active

Rather than simply lounging by the pool, look for opportunities to engage in physical activities during your vacations. Go for a hike, sign up for a yoga class, or go swimming. These activities not only provided a unique experience but also kept you active and energized throughout your trip.


Don’t restrict anything but be reasonable

Traveling often introduces us to many mouthwatering dishes and local delicacies. Vania firmly believes in indulging and embracing the local cuisine, but reminds you to make an effort to have balance. Decide between drinks or dessert instead of both. Indulged in moderation and allow yourself to enjoy the local flavours without derailing your fitness.

 

Stay hydrated

During Vania’s recent trip she quickly realized the importance of staying hydrated in the 40 degree heat. Make it a priority to carry a water bottle everywhere you go and drink water regularly throughout the day. Hydration will not only keep you refreshed but also contributed to maintaining your energy levels and overall well-being.

 

Get right back into your workouts

After a relaxing trip, it’s challenging to get back into your exercise routine. To counter this, schedule your session or plan a workout within your first few days of being back. This approach helps you transition smoothly and motivates you to continue your fitness journey with enthusiasm.
