At Free Form we have a book club. Each quarter we choose a book that the whole team of personal trainers need to read. Topics vary from exercise, nutrition, coaching ability, psychology, self improvement and so on. We then discuss together what we thought about the principles and concepts of the book and how it applies to helping our clients succeed.
This quarter, our book of choice is: “The Primal Blueprint” by Mark Sisson. I wanted to give you a sneak peak to possibly motivate you to go buy it. It’s worth it.
In it he gives 10 primal blueprint laws that I really liked and thought you would enjoy.
Here they are:
- Eat lots of plants and animals
- Avoid poisonous things
- Move frequently at a slow pace
- Lift heavy things
- Sprint once and a while
- Get adequate sleep
- Play
- Get adequate sunlight
- Avoid stupid mistakes
- Use your brain
