The Fun Factor
Fitness clubs like to promote the fun factor in their advertising. Though the fun theory may work well at getting you in the door the first time. The reality is that it's very short lived and never fun for ever. The trick to long term success in fitness is accountability. What if you set a goal to never take the stairs for a year. You announce it to 10 of your most supportive friends that actually care and every Friday you are to report to them making sure you haven't fallen off track. Though this may not seem as fun, it's a much better strategy to achieving your goal in the long term.
