Protein is your bodies building material that acts in the same way as those 2×4's. If you workout hard but don't give your body the proper amount of building material (protein), you will never gain any muscle and that house will never be built. Yet so many people place priority on working out hard and forget to take the protein shake as soon as their done.Try to get at least 1-1.5g of protein per pound of lean body weight separated in 5 meals and don't forget your post workout shake.
