Have A Plan for the Gym
If you don’t have a plan with goals and a schedule and set workouts it is much easier to get off track. So set yourself a clear plan to work towards whatever goals you may have.
You need to be detailed; what specifically are your goals (be as specific as possible), when will you reach them by, how are you measuring your success, what days/times are you scheduling in to work on your goals, and what are you doing to get there?
If you aren’t sure how to answer any of these questions then seek help from a professional. It is not as simple as following a workout from some magazine or book. Many people make this mistake and just do some random routine over and over again and they will not get to their end goal this way guaranteed.
You need to know if you have any muscle imbalances or weaknesses to work on and to prevent injury. And program creation is a science, it needs to work in a sensible progression and done in the right order.
