Extreme Makeover: Day 37
Here are the last 2 Instructions for Peace:
Instruction #9: Thou shalt be “faith-ful”.
In order to achieve peace, you must have faith.
There are three types of faith:
1) No faith… “I will believe it when I see it.”
2) Weak faith
3) Past having doubt faith… “I know that something is as real as the chair I am sitting in!”
According to the Bible, “faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1) You must literally see the substance of your hopes and dreams as if they are right there in front of you. Just like you don’t need to see air in order to breathe, you do not need any specific signs in order to have faith.
Instruction #10: Thou shalt be “hope-ful”.
Nothing is more certain that this: the only difference between someone who is defeated and someone who is victorious is that defeat comes to someone who quits, while victory comes to someone who never will. Whatever you feel is possible is possible. On the other hand, it will not necessarily be easy. Success costs time, money, and in some cases relationships.
Being hopeful is one of the greatest determining factors of your health, relationships, success, and peace of mind. In life, you will definitely run into some rocks. It will be totally up to you whether or not those rocks are immovable obstacles or stepping-stones.
