Extreme Makeover: Day 27

There is a saying that states: “Knowing without doing is not knowing”.  With all the different books, videos, motivational speakers, and websites, there is definitely more than enough information; there is just not enough understanding.  Meaning that you should not only come across the information, but you also must act on it.


 


Understanding equals results.


 


We all know that junk food is bad and fruit is good, yet junk food still sells better than fruit. We know how much proper nutrition, exercise, and stress management are key for optimal health, yet they are also neglected.


 


We need to realize how important our life is, not only for ourselves, but for our family and friends.  If we can understand this, than maybe it will help us understand everything else we need to do in order to keep our commitments.


 


Action steps for today:


 


1. Write down in your journal the things you are doing and the things you know you should be doing.


2. Congratulate yourself for the things you are doing.


3. Determine what is preventing you from doing the things you are not doing.  Is it simply procrastination, laziness, lack of will power, or is it something of real value? (i.e. injury).


4. Re-commit yourself to what you started 26 days ago.  Remember, you don’t


lose if you fail, you lose if you quit.
