Extreme Makeover: Day 1
Congratulations to all of you who are participating in the Extreme Makeover 40-Day Challenge! The kick-off last night was absolutely amazing, and we are so excited to see the transformations taking place over the next 40 days.
Each day there will be a tip posted on this blog. Be sure to check in frequently, as these tips will help to keep you focused and motivated to succeed – remember, we’re aiming for 1% improvement per day.
Here’s your focus for today:
Cars (toys) come and go, but you only have one body, and there are no spare parts. Science says that we can live up to 120 years. Therefore, you must take care of your body in order to fulfill your life’s purpose.
Action Steps for Day 1: (Last night we went over action steps for the entire week, but we’ll focus in more closely now on the day-to-day.)
1. Just start moving from where you are. “I find that the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving.” Oliver Wendell Holmes
You do not lose if you fail, only if you quit.
2. Finish your self-assessment. If you didn’t have your ‘Pre’ measurements taken, be sure to do that as soon as possible. You have to know where you are now in order to determine where you want to be in 40 days. Be sure to write down your goals, and read them everyday.
