Appetizers: Be Forewarned!
Keep in mind appetizers, such as chicken wings, mini quiches, sausage rolls and battered shrimp cocktails, are both high in calories and trans fat. It is not uncommon for an individual to take in a full meal’s worth of calories thanks to just the appetizers! Watch out for the sauces too. If you must, choose a small appetizer to wet your appetite, but choose something that will not pack on pounds. Shrimp is not high in calories, but shrimp sauce is.
