You can’t stop the waves but you can learn to surf
When your progress is flat lined, it’s time to switch things up to keep the progress going. In this segment I explain the importance of changing exercises but you can take it even further and change other things too. If you reach a plateau in your progress try switching up speed of movement, rest times, volume, intensity, time under tension or even workout frequency or workout split. The definition of insanity applies very well here; “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” It’s time for change.
